Vredestein / JEC XK Championship

Set up by the Jaguar Enthusiasts Club (JEC) Racing section and sponsored by tyre manufacturer Vredestein, this series brings both novice and experienced racers together with terrific competition throughout the field.

2009 saw racing hosted again by The Masters - Top Hat Series at some of the top UK and European circuits. The highlight of the year was the Silverstone Classic where we saw a fantastic grid of nearly 40 XKs putting in a superb performance for the crowds.

Several new drivers have added to the fun this year and we do encourage more to join us for the next season.

C’mon guys (and girls) get those XKs out!

Getting embarrassingly close to his father’s lap times!

2-driver races have proved very popular

Great personal results in the 2009 season:

Melvin took 3rd overall in Class C and 3rd place in the Championship.

Chris’ son Andy Keith-Lucas, took the prize for most improved driver of the season and wife Claire, took 2nd place in the womens placing for all the JEC championships.

Chris himself was presented with the aptly named ‘Spirit of the Series’ painting.
